ACTIVITIES: Owner of The Music Corner Studios in
Fayette, Alabama. Established in 1963. More than 100 students of all
ages in private study; waiting list of approximately 25.
Supervisor of assistant and apprentice piano teachers.
Maintenance of a gospel/church music archive of several thousand
selections, print and recorded, representing the 19th & 20th
Centuries. Researcher.
Individual and group instruction for children and adults in piano,
organ, voice, music theory. Suzuki Method instruction for very young
children.
Chairman, Fayette District Music Festival, Junior Division, Alabama
Federation of Music Clubs. 1977 to present. Over 200 participants
annually, with judges drawn from Alabama and Mississippi.
Two major student recitals annually, open to the public.
Sponsor of two Junior Music Study Clubs. Chairman of 1994 Alabama
Junior Music Clubs Convention (Fayette, March 19, 1994; 230 attendees
from throughout the State).

Arranger -- Christmas Cantata "The Christmas Story" debut performance
1992 by Liberty Assembly of God Choir, Millport, Alabama. Original
compositions and arrangements, prepared for small choirs.
Arrangement for small choirs of "Hallelujah Chorus" from Handel's The
Messiah performed regionally.
Hundreds of arrangements, tailored to performers' needs and
preferences.
Composer -- Approximately 30 original full-length compositions.
Seventy-six pieces written for beginner piano students.
Approximately 10 compositions published by Vaughan Publishing Co.

Three numbers released nationally. Recent release by the Cathedral

Piano Solo Division, Freewill Baptists. Several State-level winners in
same competition.
1990 - Student honored for earning 12 consecutive Superior ratings in
Piano Solo performance, Alabama Federation of Music Teachers. First
such award to be earned in Alabama.
1994 - An 11th Grade student completed 12 consecutive Superior ratings
in Piano Solo performance, Alabama Federation of Music Teachers.

1987 - Former student won 3rd Place, National Songwriting Contest,
Gospel Music Association.
